Using AI
Connect writing, picture, music and voice providers.
Writing
Open AI settings. Pick OpenRouter (paste an API key and choose a model) or a local model served by Ollama, LM Studio, llama.cpp or any OpenAI-compatible server.
Pictures
Pictures use a separate provider: OpenRouter image models, Stable Diffusion WebUI, ComfyUI, Civitai, or an OpenAI-compatible server. Art style text on the Overview page is added to every picture so they match.
Music and voices
Background music and sound effects come from audio models on OpenRouter; spoken dialogue from text-to-speech models. Music clips are short and instrumental, so they suit loops and stingers best.
Your keys
API keys are stored encrypted on your computer using the operating system’s secure storage. AI provider accounts and costs are separate from your NovellaForge licence.
Age ratings
Choose an age rating for each story, from Child friendly to Adult (R18). It steers the AI’s writing and pictures. You are responsible for the content you create and publish and for complying with the rules of the AI providers and stores you use.
